What are the most promising arena's where these efforts could be pursued?

As you might already know, Consumers International is pushing for A2K
amendments to the United Nations Guidelines on Consumer Protection,
and we have made some headway.  This month we attended a civil society
preparatory meeting for UNCTAD XIII and put our demands on the table,
we will be attending UNCTAD XIII itself next month to reiterate this,
and also (we hope) join the panel of an intergovernmental expert group
meeting in July where the amendment of the Guidelines will be
