Here's a self publishing author claiming that "a big publisher has to
sell more than six times as many books for the author to earn the same
net profit" and "You can make a profit by self-publishing and selling
one-sixth of the copies that a traditional publisher would have to sell."


This brings back the "what is normal exploitation" question, and also
the question of what Berne's "formalities" could mean today.

Anyone has a definition of what a "formality" is?
