Promising new pipeline technologies for CD4, viral load, and early infant diagnosis testing designed for use at or near the patient point of care may offer increased access to testing and monitoring of HIV/AIDS in resource-constrained settings. This session will look at opportunities and challenges to expedite access to new diagnostic technologies, a critical step for achieving widespread access to effective treatment.
