The British Medical Journal (BMJ) has published the a guest editorial  
from KEI on the EU/India FTA negotiations, under the title: "The  
production of generic drugs in India: A new trade agreement with the  
EU would hinder access to drugs in developing countries."

The article focuses on two issues -- the provisions in the FTA  
regarding standards for granting patents, and the proposal by the EU  
to create intellectual property rights in drug registration data.
