³The Medicines Patent Pool:  Stimulating Innovation, Improving Access²


The Medicines Patent Pool is pleased to invite you to our side-event to
the Standing Committee on the Law of Patents (SCP), WIPO's forum for the
discussion of international patent laws and norms. The event will
introduce the Medicines Patent Pool in the context of discussions on
patents and health at the SCP.  Speakers will are drawn from key
institutions addressing the HIV/AIDS crisis: innovative financing
mechanismUNITAID; the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria;
the WorldHealth Organization, and WIPO, as well as the Patent Pool.



Those wishing to attend who do not already have a pass to the UN or to
WIPO are kindly asked to inform us of their attendance by emailing
