The Institute for Social Medicine, Epidemiology and Health Economics (Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin), International Physicians Against Nuclear War Germany (IPPNW), and Health Action International (HAI) Europe invite you to the following Global Health Summer events in Berlin:

- a one-week Summer School (September 15-20, 2013)Participants of the summer school will gain an overview of how globalisation influences health. The focus of the summer school will be on "Health, Pharma and Globalisation: A Critical View", with participants working on the question of what role the pharmaceutical industry plays in a globalised world in relation to the medical sector, society, science and politics. - a one-day Conference (September 21, 2013)The summer school will be followed by a public, one-day conference "Big Pharma: Good Pharma - Bad Pharma?". The aim of the conference is to deepen debate on the issues raised at the summer school and to open up the discussion to the general public. - a three-day Campaign Skills Lab (September 23-25, 2013)The diversity of digital technologies means a significant, ever-growing increase in opportunities to mobilise people all over the world. To use these opportunities effectively and successfully, skills (e.g. communication strategies, broad knowledge of digital technologies and creative use of social media) are vital to express messages clearly. The objective of the skills lab is to introduce interested participants to essential skills of campaigning work.
