Leading members of the U.S. Congress including the Ranking Members of
- Energy and Commerce Committee
- Labor, Health, Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittee
and
- Africa, Global Health and Human Rights Subcommittee
as well as the chair of the HIV/AIDS Caucus wrote, today, to the US Trade
Representative supporting the request by Least Developed Countries.

The request by LDCs was to extend the TRIPS waiver until such time as they
are no longer "least developed," thus tying restrictive IP rules to
development status instead of an artificial few year date.

The letter is attached, please share with relevant stakeholders.

Thanks
_Matt
