Dear All,

Tomorrow at 3:00pm EST, KEI will host a video discussion with Rafael
Corredoia of the University of Maryland School of Business. Corredoia will
discuss his research on the relationship between US federally funded
research and patents. He will address, in particular, the obligations to
disclose patents on the patent itself as opposed to the patent application.

Rafael Corredoia is Assistant Professor of Management and Organization at
the UMD Robert H. Smith School of Business. His research currently focuses
on how the evolution of technological inventions is driven by knowledge
recombination characteristics, funding sources, and inventor’s cognitive
limitations. For his full bio, please visit:

If you would like to join the discussion and ask any questions, please
reply and let us know. Following the discussion, the video will be posted
on the KEI YouTube channel and made available to the public.

Thank you,
Claire Cassedy
