[Ip-health] WHA72 - Snakebite WHO Roadmap Launch and Screening Event

Dear ip-health subscribers attending the 72nd World Health Assembly (WHA72), alongside WHA72, the WHO is launching the highly anticipated, snakebite envenoming roadmap. The launch of the strategy will be held on Thursday the 23rd of May, 2019 at 18:00 in the Restaurant Vieux-Bois, Geneva in the shadow of the UN Palais des Nations.

The WHO roadmap launch is sponsored by the missions of Costa Rica and Nigeria, and will feature two distinct facilitated panel discussions including Member States, WHO Secretariat, and Non-state actors. In addition, if you'd like a chance to learn more about the burden of Snakebite Envenoming in advance of the launch, The Lillian Lincoln Foundation (LLF), World Health Organization (WHO), Health Action International (HAI), University of Geneva (UNIGE) and Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) are holding a screening of the snakebite documentary, Minutes to Die at the Campus Biotech, 9 Chemin des Mines, Geneva on Tuesday 21st May 2019 at 18:00. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion as well as an informal reception with drinks and canapés where you are invited to discuss and network with fellow attendees and panellists.
