[Ip-health] Alan Story: A patented Covid-19 vaccine could price out millions | Green World

I wanted to comment on this statement by Dick Wilder.

"biotech firms and academic labs will refuse to share their vaccine
technologies and scientific processes"

For a COVID 19 vaccine, governments and donors are providing billions in
direct funding for vaccine development, some through CEPI, and when a
vaccine that works is available, governments will be spending billions more
to buy it. Governments, particularly if they cooperate with each other,
are clearly in a positive to dictate a lot of sharing of IP and know-how,
and if they don't, its a global policy failure.
