IFLA, together with its partners ICA, ICOM, EIFL and SAA, is pleased to announce that we have so far received more than 350 signatures (89 countries) supporting the open letter to WIPO on World Intellectual Property Day on the theme of climate change.
Climate change is continuing (rising waters, fires, storms) and many countries lack the legal copyright provisions that allow them to make preservation copies.
This means that many countries are not safe from significant destruction of their heritage and thus of the history of their nation or community.
