[Ip-health] Krista Cox joins KEI as Staff Attorney

We are pleased to announce that Krista Cox has joined Knowledge  
Ecology International as Staff Attorney.  She has taken over the role  
vacated by Judit Rius Sanjuan.  In her new capacity, Krista will be  
actively involved in our substantive work related to access to  
medicines and access to knowledge questions.


Here below is a brief bio:


Krista Cox, Staff Lawyer
Krista works for Knowledge Ecology International (KEI) as a staff  

Prior to her present position, she was employed as the staff attorney  
for Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) where she  
worked on advocating for access to essential medicines, researching  
the Bayh-Dole Act and its analogues, gene patent issues, and  
transparency projects.
Krista earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Notre Dame  
where she served on the Executive Board of the Journal of Legislation  
and was also a member of the Jessup International Moot Court team. At  
Notre Dame, she focused her studies on international law and human  
rights. She earned the Dean's Award for Copyright Law and for the  
Human Rights Section of the Legal Aid Clinic. She also has extensive  
experience in immigration law. Krista is admitted to practice in  
California and before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
