*Duties and Responsibilities*

The Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose is a new Institute within
The Bartlett that will focus on how public policy can be used to direct
economic growth and innovation in order to tackle societal and
technological challenges. The Institute is Directed by Professor Mariana
Mazzucato whose research on the economics of innovation is having a
critical impact on public policy world-wide.

We are seeking a Research Associate to work mainly in the context of the
Open Society Foundations funded project that aims to explore alternative
innovation models in health.

The post is for one year in the first instance, further funding to support
the post may be available.

*Key Requirements*

The applicant should have a first and higher degree in a subject relevant
to research in health innovation and policies or relevant experience. They
should have previous experience in health economics and innovation, or
similar areas such as analytical economists, engineers, social scientists,
and natural scientists who wish to develop and apply their skills to new
area of research.

Candidates should have a strong devotion to policy conclusions and
excellent writing skills, and proven ability with data analysis and related
evidence-based methods.
