side event during deliberations at the Twenty-Sixth Session of Standing
Committee on the Law of Patents (SCP) of the World Intellectual Property
Organization (WIPO).


KEI's Counsel, Andrew S. Goldman, will present on Judicially Mandated
Licenses of Medical Technology Patents in the United States - Post-eBay v.
MercExchange. In U.S. patent infringement cases, courts may issue
compulsory licenses of patents, including patents on medical technologies,
instead of issuing injunctions. In this talk, we will explore the legal
framework underpinning these norms and examine how this has worked in
practice.
