Apologies for self-promotion, but I thought members of the IP-Health community may be interested in a new book on the politics of intellectual property, Coalitions and Compliance: The Political Economy of Pharmaceutical Patents in Latin America. The book examines debates about introducing pharma patent systems, when doing so became compulsory because of international changes, and then, once in place, debates over revising how these new systems function. The material is drawn from research in Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico.
