E-DRUG: Application period now open for WHO Essential Medicines List 2019

The 22nd WHO Expert Committee on Selection and Use of Essential Medicines
will meet in Geneva, Switzerland from 1 to 5 April 2019 to consider
applications seeking inclusion, changes to or removal of medicines on the
WHO Model List of Essential Medicines (EML) including Essential Medicines
for Children (EMLc).
The WHO EML Secretariat has now opened the application period for the 2019
update of the EML and EMLc.  The application period will remain open from 1
June until 7 December 2018.

All applications received will be checked for quality and completeness and
published on the WHO EML webpage as soon as they  are accepted by the
Secretariat. This will increase the visibility of applications received and
enhance the possibility for interested parties to comment on them.

Applications, questions and requests for information should be sent to the
Secretary of the Expert Committee, Dr Nicola Magrini, via email to
emlsecretariat at who.int

We would be glad to engage early with applicants and to give feedback on
how to improve and finalize their applications.
